New: sexual violence awareness training programme

04 / 05 / 2023

Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre has launched a new programme of sexual violence awareness training for organisations and professionals in the region. The training is offered at an introductory rate for a limited time only.

Participants on the half- or full-day course will get an overview of sexual violence and what it means, some of the key national statistics, prevalence, myths and stereotypes, legal and media representations, and barriers to reporting.

The full day course goes into more depth with the opportunity to develop a more comprehensive understanding and further examine the physical and emotional impact on those subjected to sexual abuse.

This interactive and engaging training is delivered by trauma informed experts and will be ideal for professionals, individuals, and anyone else who supports or may come into contact with survivors of sexual violence.

CRASAC has over 40 years’ experience working with adults and children who have been impacted directly or indirectly by sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives. The charity delivers specialist independent support for survivors throughout the criminal justice process and provides counselling and therapy services for people of all ages and genders.

There are a range of standard training packages suitable for anyone who supports or may provide services for children, young people and adults. For organisations who need something more bespoke, we can work in partnership to create a completely tailored package.
