Join the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Coventry for afternoon tea and tour of the Grade II listed Tudor Council House.

As one of the Lord Mayor’s Charities of the year Lady Mayoress Angela Maton and Lord Mayor Cllr Kevin Maton will be hosting an afternoon tea on Wednesday 30th November to fundraise for CRASAC.

It will take place in the Lord Mayor’s private hospitality suite (where the Coventry Crest hangs on the wall) and will be an opportunity to see some of the historic medieval areas not usually available to the public. These include the Council Chamber, Lord Mayor’s Suite, Lady Mayoress’s Parlour, and paneled corridors with many pictures of historic Coventry.

The cabinets which house the Mace and Sword used at the Proclamation Ceremony announcing the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession by King Charles III will also be on display.

There will be the opportunity to take a trip over the bridge to St Mary’s Guildhall to see the Medieval Kitchen, meet a Civil War soldier in the armory, and view the newly restored tapestry – reputedly the oldest in England still in its original location.

The sessions will run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 3pm to 5pm with a suggested minimum donation of £20 per person.

Please note that CRASAC is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge which means that all donations made between 29th November and 6th December will be doubled.

Booking is essential as space is limited. Register your interest using the form below or email fundraising@crasac.org.uk.
