About the artwork
When I painted this piece, I was thinking about the days when it feels difficult to keep going. Days when the future is hidden, like a landscape behind the clouds, but something inside us quietly says, “Take one more step.”
I placed dark colours beside the light because, for me, hope lives in the space they share. We can still feel sadness and tiredness, yet find beauty and leave a little room in our hearts for tomorrow.
In this landscape, the light finds its way through the clouds and reaches across the water. That small glow feels like enough to guide the next step.
This painting is a reminder to myself: even when I cannot see the whole way ahead, there is still a reason to keep going.
