Outreach & Community Engagement.
Work with us.
We work across Coventry and surrounding areas to raise awareness of sexual violence and abuse and connect communities with specialist support.
Our outreach work helps improve understanding, strengthen responses, and ensure people know how and where to access help when it is needed.
Our approach.
Our outreach work is delivered through education, partnership working, and community engagement.
We work with local organisations, professionals, and community groups to share knowledge about trauma, improve safeguarding responses, and support more informed, confident approaches when responding to disclosures or concerns.
This includes raising awareness, delivering training and engagement activity, and supporting networks to better understand when and how to refer into specialist services.
How we do it.
Our outreach work includes:
Delivering awareness sessions in community settings
Providing training and information to local organisations
Supporting professionals to understand trauma-informed responses
Sharing guidance on recognising and responding to disclosures
Contributing to local initiatives that improve safety and wellbeing
This work helps ensure that more people understand how to respond safely and appropriately to sexual violence and abuse.
Who we work with.
We work alongside a wide range of organisations and services, including:
community organisations
education providers
health and care services
voluntary and third sector groups
local authority and statutory partners
Our aim is to strengthen joined-up responses so that individuals can access the right support at the right time.
Our approach.
All outreach and engagement work is:
trauma-informed
evidence-based
delivered by trained professionals
shaped by best practice and safeguarding guidance
adapted to the needs of different audiences
We aim to ensure that all activity is appropriate, accessible, and safe.
Why this work matters.
Outreach and engagement helps to:
improve early identification of need
reduce barriers to accessing support
challenge stigma and misunderstanding
increase confidence in responding to disclosures
strengthen local safeguarding and referral pathways
By working with professionals and communities, we help create environments where survivors are more likely to be believed, supported, and signposted correctly.
