What help is needed?
- Staffing the Help Line for survivors and their supporters
- Assisting with Safe Touch Workshops
- Raising awareness on issues of sexual violence
- Fund raising and organising social events
- Assisting in training new volunteers
- Developing new projects and resources
- Become a member of the management committee
What sort of person is CRASAC looking for?
- Female over 18
- Good listener
- Non-judgemental
- Sincere and caring
- Has an understanding around the issues of sexual violence
- Responsible, reliable, and dependable
- Can maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Can work within the professional boundaries of CRASAC
- Can work in a non-discriminatory way
What can CRASAC offer you
- Good quality training accredited through the Open College Network.
This is followed by a period shadowing an experienced worker until you
are confident working on your own

Will I receive training?
- Yes. A comprehensive training programme will enable you to build on
your own skills and abilities so that you can offer support to survivors
of sexual violence.
- This is followed by a period of shadowing an experienced worker until
you are fully confident to take calls yourself.
- CRASAC training is accredited through the Open College Network
- Training is free.
How long will the training take?
- The training program is delivered over 10 weeks. This is followed by
an induction period.
When is the next training course?
- The training is provided twice a year in March and September.
