Who we arePhoto : Sunflower

  • Since 1981 CRASAC has provided a confidential support and counselling service run by women for those who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted.
  • We are a free and confidential service that provides support for survivors who have experienced any kind of sexual abuse of any kind at any time in their life. Our counselling service is available to women and also to girls and boys aged 5 - 18 years. Our helpline and ISVA services are also available to men and boys.
  • We are a member organisation of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice
  • Our counsellors are all women from diverse backgrounds and are qualified to at least Diploma level.
  • Our volunteers have completed an NOCN accredited training programme in the area of rape and sexual abuse which is run by CRASAC.
  • CRASAC works from a feminist ethos in recognition that sexual violence is gender based violence and disproportionately effects women and girls within our society.
