The Coventry Fun Run and Half Marathon will take place on May 23rd 2010 and we are looking for people to run either the Fun Run (1 mile) or for those brave enough the Half Marathon (13 miles) for Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC).
We have around 15 people running for us already, but obviously more people means more publicity, which means we raise awareness of the service and more sponsorship.
Coventry Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre work with women, men, girls and boys who have experienced sexual violence and abuse in Coventry. Your support will help us provide a confidential helpline, free counselling and advocacy support for the 3,000 victims and survivors that ask us for help every year, around 25% of them are children.
Every pound you raise will support a victim of rape and abuse in Coventry. Here are some examples of how the money you raise will help:
CRASAC is the only sexual violence agency in Coventry and our work is recognised nationally and internationally for giving a voice to our victims’ issues as well as providing practical and emotional support to victims of rape and abuse.
